Colorants
Two types of colorants are used
in our personal care products. One type of colorant used is the
inorganic pigments derived from the earth. These
colorants are the iron oxides, ultramarines, chromium oxide green, and a
variety of whites such as titanium dioxide. They are cosmetic grade and
have been tested in soaps. The other type of colorant used is the
natural color additives derived from plants such as
seeds, roots, vegetables, algae, and fruits. These colorants are permitted
for use in cosmetics (although soap is not technically considered a
cosmetic). No FD&C or food grade colors are used.
